ELCE medical foundation has formed a group in what’s app called CFRF (Chennai Flood Relief Force) connecting 100 friends across the world and created a virtual control room and played a major role in rescuing lot of people by connecting with sources and victims and collected 2 trucks of relief and medical requirements and distributed by 15 members of the team who left from ELCE Coimbatore. Around 1700 people were benefitted by these things worth of Rs 5 lakhs and medical team conducted camps covering 3 villages of Chennai Vazhuthalamedu, pammal, and mogapper with the help of Rapid Action Force. 3000 kgs of bleaching powder also sent to Chennai and Cuddalore by them. One more team is leaving this week with lot of materials and medicines. CFRF ‘ s medical team at Chennai arranging camps and treating with medicines in various areas of Chennai when the Coimbatore team supplying the needs from here. Through this its proved that technology can b used very effectively during disasters by uniting the youth power.
